Canada’s Sunshine Coast is part of mainland British Columbia. It is located on a peninsula across Howe Sound north of Vancouver, and can be reached only by ferry. The "sunshine" part of its name is based on an average of 2,400 hours of sun a year, making it sunnier and drier than anywhere else along coastal B.C.

 

Its  lifestyle feels more like that of an island with its cottages, cabins and long beaches lining lush forests of red cedar and Douglas fir that blanket the Coast Mountains. It is an environment  that fosters creativity and a more serene and friendlier way of life.
